Cases of COVID-19 have diminished here in Phuket after a small amount of tourist’s were tested by border control on their arrival. The most interesting point to realise here is that Omicron which is the latest variant to surface, has had little or no actual respiratory hospitalizations. Yes, in Phuket there are people in quarantine and some people in self-isolation but there are no hospital cases with people needing respiration devices. The are many International certified hospitals in Phuket with Bangkok Hospital one of the largest groups here in Thailand having 3 hospitals, plus Mission and 3 Government hospitals.
Because in the E.U. and a small number of different countries are now considering that Omicron is an upper airway disease and not a virus that attacks your lungs as was the case with COVID-19. This would now mean that the extreme reactions when catching this new variant has much lower side effects.
Well, if you follow the safety guidelines, remain healthy with sufficient vitamins & minerals, plus wear a mask you should be safe. After visiting numerous venues in Phuket and seeing the reducing numbers of infections is a very positive sign that tourists can safely travel around this beautiful island and visit all the major attractions that are here, even the quiet hidden locations, beaches and restaurants that you can experience the multitude of cultural eating.
Getting sufficient Vitamin D3 from the suns rays will also contribute to a healthier and safer situation for each tourist.

Which is a great reason to choose our hotel as a safe haven for you next holiday to Phuket.
The most effective steps individuals can take to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus is to keep a physical distance of at least 1 metre from others; wear a well-fitting mask; open windows to improve ventilation; avoid poorly ventilated or crowded spaces; keep hands clean; cough or sneeze into a bent elbow or tissue; and get vaccinated when it’s their turn.
WHO will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available, including following meetings of the TAG-VE. In addition, information will be available on WHO’s digital and social media platforms.
So, if you are planning to visit Phuket, then feel safe that there are no serious cases to worry about and that shops, restaurants and bars are open to welcome you to this beautiful paradise.
We hope to see you very soon, e
